The Nautilus search work, which Alex has been working on and which features Beagle, has just landed onto HEAD and will be in the GNOME 2.14 release. For those of you without the companionship of man’s best friend, there is also a fallback simple search so, no, GNOME doesn’t depend on Mono now. Sorry conspiracy theorists!
