Novell announced the Hula Project today. It’s a badly needed open source mail and calendar server. A project like this had been seriously pondered over and over for ages at Ximian, but we never had a foundation to build on… we would have started from scratch, which was a seriously daunting prospect. Fortunately, Novell has code which is (at long last!) making it a reality. So this is very exciting for me and several other old monkeys. Nat has a lot more on it, including several goals for the project.
